Griffin Sr, 84, a native of Leeville and resident of Golden Meadow passed away February 18, 2014. Visitation will take place on Friday 21, 2014 from 9:00am till funeral time at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am with burial following in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery. Mr. Louis is survived by his children Louis Griffin Jr and wife Patsy, Curment Griffin and wife Mona, Edwanna Kieff and husband John, Maureen Pagliughi and husband Peter, Dean Griffin and wife Holly, Ernie Griffin and wife Chantel, 14 grandchildren, and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dudline "Rat" Vizier Griffin, parents Joseph M. Griffin and Adrienne G. Griffin, grandson Darby Cheramie, brothers Adam Griffin, Webb Griffin, Forrest Griffin, Leander Griffin, Daniel Griffin Sr, infant brother William Griffin, sisters Eva Doucet, Mandy Cheramie and infant sister Josephine Griffin. Mr. Griffin loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing hunting and dancing. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and a past Admiral and Grand Knight, a member of the Altar Society, the Holy Name Society, the Texaco Retirees Club, and Friends of Special Citizens. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts during this time, and would like to extend a special thanks to Father Henry at Our Lady of Prompt Succor, Lady of the Sea Hospital, River Region Hospice, Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and Cancer Center and their respective staffs for the care provided to Mr. Louis.
