He was a native of Whitwell, TN and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services and Burial will be held in Whitwell, TN. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Heindel Griffith, Houma, LA, daughter, Kristi Griffith Murphy and husband Trevor, Houma, LA grandchildren, Peyton Alexander Pellegrin and Karoline Madison Murphy, both of Houma, LA, parents, Elvin Griffith, Jr. and Dollye Rose Logan Griffith, Whitwell, TN, sister, Natalie Griffith Elliott and husband Greg, Chattanooga, TN nephews, Devin Heindel, Belle Chasse, LA, Dusty Henderson and Hunter Wallace, both of Chattanooga, TN, father in law Alton Heindel, brother in law Scott Heindel, Glenn Heindel and wife Rhonda. He is also survived by his Boston Terrier babies, Mollie, Emma, George, Casper and Parker. Preceded in death by his grandparents Virgil Paul and Willie Mae Logan, Elvin Griffith Sr. and Myrtle Layne Griffith, mother in law Marie Heindel. He was a QHSE Coordinator for U.S. Land at Schlumberger Completion for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. He is a Charter Member of BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse). He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations may be made to My Heart's Desire Pet Adoption Center or The Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter. ======================
