HAWKINS, CARL RAY  

Carl Ray Hawkins, 50, a resident Verdunville, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014. 

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin. 
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, 

with burial in Nazarene Baptist Church Cemetery in Verdunville, 

He is survived by two sons, Dwayde Hawkins and Carl Hawkins Jr., both of 
Franklin; five brothers, Ron Hawkins, of Wichita, Kan., John Hawkins, of 
Amarillo, Texas, Wayne Thomas, of Verdunville, Ricky Thomas, of Centerville, 
and Harry Lee Thomas, of St. Martinville; five sisters, Karen Gier, of Bayou 
Vista, Janet Ambroise, of Miami, Fla., Jean Darby, of Verdunville, Faye Coleman 
and Greta Francis, of Baldwin; his godparents, John Navy and Claire Bourgeois, 
of Verdunville; two grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Thomas Sr. and Lou Ethel 
Hawkins; five brothers and one sister. 

Jones Funeral Home in Franklin is in charge of arrangements
