Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1402.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Larry Lynn Jenkins, 69, a native of San Diego, CA and a resident of Houma, LA died Monday, February 17, 2014 at 03:30 PM after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. He is survived by three sons, Kevin L. Jenkins, Chase W. Jenkins and Alexander R. Jenkins; Three daughters, Tamila A. Jenkins, Tonya L. Giroir and Stacy L. Jenkins; Two brothers, Michael L. Shroyer and Robert Jenkins, Jr. Three sisters, Sandra Sue LeBlanc, Renee M. Johnston and Karen M. Ritchey; Ten grandchildren, Kacy Smith, Brittany Smith, Ayden Jenkins, Bryce Jenkins, Allison Giroir, Kobe Giroir, Blake Giroir, Alexis Whitney, Averi Whitney, and Zoey Jenkins; and Six great grandchildren, Kalli Willet, Damien Willet, Paige Trahan, Peyton Trahan, Jameson Trahan and Kinsley Burnett. He was preceded in death by his, Father, Robert Jenkins, Mother, Verna Lee Brothers Step-Father, George ÒBudÓ Shroyer, Jr. and Sister, Patsy J. Jenkins. He was a proud veteran of the U.S.Navy where he served as a ship fitter on the U.S.S. Klondike in the Philippines and San Diego, CA. In Houma, he worked in auto sales and management at Cournoyer Oldsmobile- Cadillac; as a Sales Manager at Houma Toyota; self-employed at First Choice Used Cars; and retired, disabled, as the manager of Terrebonne MotorsÕ Eastside Used Car Lot. The family would like to thank Dr. Gamble and the staff of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, the staff of Haydel Memorial Hospice, and the staff of Terrebonne Motors for their help and support throughout his illness. A special thank you goes out to all of his friends and family that stood beside him and showed their love and kindness throughout his battle with the disease.
