Meryl Catherine "Cathy" Melancon Lafleur, 79, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 
at 08:10 AM. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 8:00AM until service time 
at Maria Immaculata Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00PM. 

Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

She is survived by her, Husband of 58 years, Stephen Adraste Lafleur, Houma, 
LA, sons, Michael Lafleur and wife Kari, Houma, LA, Kenneth Lafleur, Wilton 
Manors, FL, James Lafleur and wife Frankie, Houma, LA, grandchildren, Heidi 
Vicknair, Kandice Birdsall, Isabella Lafleur, Jolie Lafleur, great 
grandchildren, Alexander Vicknair, Gary Joseph Birdsall, III, sister, Elaine 
Melancon Roger and husband Carroll, niece, Susan Bonvillain, nephews, David and 
Greg Roger.

She was preceded in death by her, parents, Julian Melancon and Florence Marcel 
Melancon, and son, Stephen Lafleur, Jr.

She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. 
She was a retired Secretary Broadmoor Elementary School. 
She enjoyed gardening.
