He was born Sept. 3, 1930, in Thibodaux and had been a resident of Pascagoula, Miss., since 1968. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral time Saturday at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula, Miss. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Storie officiating. Burial will be in Jackson County Memorial Park Cemetery in Pascagoula, Miss., with full military honors. He is survived by his stepdaughters, Wanda (Jack) Green and Nancy Poole; stepgrandchildren, Eddie (Jenny) Green, Steven (Jennifer) Green, Alan (Patricia) Poole, T.J. (Katie) Poole, Kyle Morgan, Kaitlyn Button, Shawn Johnson, and Teffany McGarity; brothers, Paul and Raymond Legendre; sisters, Esther Menge and Joyce Grantham; dear friends, Floyd and Betty Little; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Jordan, Emily, Emma, Garrison, Paige, Caleb, Claire, Eden, Ashton, Will, Cade, Jessica, Julie, and Janice. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Wolverton Legendre; stepdaughter, Joy Morgan Button; stepson, Darren Wolverton; brother, Daniel J. Legendre; and sister, Velma Marie Legendre. Claude retired from the U.S. Air Force and worked as senior clerk at Litton Ship Systems for 18 years. He was a lifetime member of the Air Force Sergeant Association and VFW Post No. 3373. He also was a past Post Commander for VFW Post No. 3373; Post and State VFW Honor Guard for 15 years, VFW hospital chairman, Biloxi VA Medical Center, and FFW-VAVS Deputy Representative for 14 years. He loved watching sports and was a die-hard Saints fan. A cherished memory was of his grandkids watching pro-wrestling at "Paw-Paw" Claude's house on cable TV. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to VFW Post No. 3373 in Pascagoula, Miss. O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula, Miss., is in charge of arrangements. ======================
