She was a native of Montegut, LA and resident of Bourg, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 8:30am to 10:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 10:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: Bisland Cemetery. She is survived by her, Husband, Joseph Nelton, Sons: Joseph Nelton Jr and wife Mitzi, and James Nelton and wife Renee', Brothers:Rufus "Bud" Bourg and wife Reda, Carroll Brunet and wife Grace, Gerald Brunet and wife Linda, Theodore "J.T." Brunet and wife Kathleen,and Burt Brunet and wife Mary, Sisters: Evelyn LeBoeuf,and Ruby Pirtle and husband Kern, Grandchildren: Jozie, Alexis, and Kody Nelton. She was preceded in death by her, Parents: Theodore Brunet Sr. and Ruby Bourg Brunet, Daughter: Shelley M. Nelton, Brothers: Edward Brunet, Daniel Brunet, and Barry Brunet, Sister:Yvonne Pitre and Joyce Price. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. She was a life time member of the V.F.W. Post 7755. She was past president of District 3. She was a loving mother who dedicated her life to helping veterans, family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Scott and Dickie Haydel for the care, and the CCU nursing staff at T.G.M.C. She will be dearly missed by her family. ======================
