He was a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Landry's Funeral Home, Thibodaux, LA and Friday, February 14, 2014 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Mark (Cathy) Ordoyne, Houma, LA, Matthew P. Ordoyne, Orlando, FL; daughter, Mary E. Ordoyne, Thibodaux, LA; grandchildren, Christopher M. Ordoyne, New Orleans, LA, Victoria Ordoyne Thomas, Houma, LA; great granddaughter, Annabelle C. Thomas; longtime companion, Barbara L. Gauthier, Thibodaux, LA, her children, Mary Gauthier, Michael Gauthier, Mrs. Michael (Michelle) Heinz; her grandchildren, Michael Heinz, Nick Heinz, Emily Heinz; his sister, Clarabel Ordoyne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Stella Torres Ordoyne; son, Michael J. Ordoyne; brother, Daniel Ordoyne; sister, Lois Summers. Leroy was a parishioner of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. He was a graduate from Thibodaux College and a 1954 graduate of the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Sciences. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He is the retired General Manager and Funeral Director for Landry's Funeral Home and Thibodaux Funeral Home. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed going to the camp, cooking and traveling.
