She was a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow and be held at 1:00 PM at St. Genevieve Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Noland Roger; daughter, Carolyn Russell and husband Lanny; son, Noland Roger Jr. and companion Christine St. Germain; son, Donovan Roger and wife Maedain; sister, Theresa Legendre Roger; grandchildren, Christopher Kittle and Justin Roger and great- grandchildren, Gavin, Tristan, Naia Roger, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Josephine Daigle Legendre; brothers, Herbert Franics Legendre and Eugene Legendre Sr.; and sisters, Willie Mae Legendre Boston and Marie Louise Legendre. She was a loving mother to all and her extended family. Everyone could always count on her support and guidance through life. She will be greatly missed by all. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, taking family trips, playing BINGO, shopping, and cooking for her family. She was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Genevieve. Later in life her and husband, Noland owned C N P grocery store. Because of the love and care provided by her devoted sister, Theresa, Ethel enjoyed her last years surrounded by comfort, love, support, and affection. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Lafourche Home for the Aged, Dr. Boudreaux, and the many caretakers that helped her in her later years in life.
