She passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at New Iberia Manor South Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Evangeline Funeral Home in New Iberia. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the family and friends. She is survived by her brother, Raymond J. "Yak" (Edwina) Yakupzack, of Houma; nephew and nieces, Paul (Janice) Yakupzack, of Houma, Laura Fletcher, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Elise (Dave) Faike, of Challis, Idaho, and Diana Lacson, of San Francisco, Calif.; great-nieces and nephews, Bart Yakupzack, Amy Gayle, Tom Fletcher, and Martha Klemm; and her cousin and generous caregiver, Michael Ardeneaux. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Avery Paul Yakupzack. Jenny was a graduate of New Iberia High School and was a 1952 graduate of the accounting course at Spencer Business College in Lafayette. This led to a career in bookkeeping that would span more than 65 years, with her working for companies that included Trappey's, Pelican Creamery, the Daily Iberian, and most recently 35 years at Iberia General Hospital (now Iberia Medical Center). esides her bookkeeping, Jenny was also a tax preparer and Notary Public. She had a love for cats, especially her Siamese cats. She was also one of the most thoughtful persons and made sure to remember her family and friends' birthdays by sending beautiful cards. She leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Evangeline Funeral Home in New Iberia is in charge of arrangements. ======================
