Earl T. "Governor" Young, 66, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houston, 
Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Allen Chapel AME 
Church in Thibodaux. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, 

with burial in Louisiana National Cemetery. 

He is survived by his mother, Ester Parker, of Thibodaux. He was preceded in 
death by his stepfather, William Parker; and maternal grandparents, Henry and 
Mable Young. 

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
