Cynthia Asuncion, 53, a native of Brownsville and resident of Houma, died 
Monday, March 17, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Louis 
Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, 

with burial in Rogers Cemetery in Houma. 

She is survived by her husband, Paulino Asuncion; daughter, Melinda L. 
Robichaux and husband, Rodney; sons, Israel Lachico and wife, Jenny, and 
Michael Lachico and Nicole Pellgrin; brother, John Lachico Jr. and wife, 
Judith; sister, Rosalinda Authement and husband, Eddie; mother, Elvira Lachico; 
father, John Clarence Lachico Sr.; and grandchildren, Dustin Robichaux, Melaina 
Robichaux, Ariana Lachico, Aislynn Lachico, Akathleen Lachico, Alexandra 
Lachico, Briana Lachico, Michael Lachico Jr., Lea Lachico, Logan Lachico, Saige 
Pellegrin, Kassidy Pellegrin, Madison Pellegrin, and Chloe Pellegrin. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesus Rodriguez and Otila Guerra 
Rodriguez, and Israel Lachico and Bertha Scott Lachico. Love always, never 
forgotten. You'll always be in our hearts. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
