Fredrick E. "Gene" Bauerle, 85, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. 

He resided in Milan, Tenn., and was a former resident of Baton Rouge. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time 
Saturday at Rest Haven Funeral Home at 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. 
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 

with burial in Rest Haven Gardens of Memory Cemetery. 

He is survived by his children, Cathy Callegan, of Gonzales, and Connie McBee 
and husband, Randy, of Milan, Tenn.; siblings, Majorie Baker and husband, 
Robert, of Baton Rouge, Margaret Gomez, of Hammond, and Robin Bauerle and wife, 
Sonya, of Ganado, Texas.; grandchildren, Shay Gulotta and husband, Craig, of 
St. Amant, Shannon Bourgeois and husband, Brandon, of St. Amant, Justin Cagle 
and wife, Janon, of Milan, Tenn., and Jackie Ryder and husband, Marvin, of Ft. 
Oglethorpe, Ga.; and great-grandchildren, Emily Bourgeois, Isabelle Bourgeois, 
and Amelia Callegan, of St. Amant, Tony Mills, Michael Mills, and Emma Ryder, 
of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Opal Bauerle; and his parents, 
Mahlon and Thelma Bauerle. Gene was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in 
Atwood, Tenn. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He 
retired from Holsum Bakery. 

Rest Haven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge is in charge of arrangements.
