Amelia "Millie" Bernard, 76, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed 
away Saturday, March 1, 2014, at her home. 
She was born in Donaldsonville and was a resident of Baton Rouge. 

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral time Saturday at Rest Haven 
Funeral Home at 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge. A memorial service will 
be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. 

She is survived by her loving husband, C.J. Bernard; daughter, Lisa M. Bernard; 
son, Brent J. Bernard; grandchildren, Steven M. Savoie and Kayla L. Savoie; 
beloved dog, Angel; and one niece and three nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sophie and Euclid Landry; sisters, 
Elmira L. Dugas and Earline L. Boudreaux; and brothers, Raymond and Ray Landry. 

Millie loved politics, feeding her birds and squirrels and she was a member of 
the Newcomers Bowling League. 

A special thank you goes to Dr. Jay Brooks, Dr. Moore at Ochsner in New 
Orleans, Dr. Boyer at Mary Byrd Perkins Cancer Center, and the nurses at St. 
Joseph Hospice, especially Penny, for taking excellent care of our mother.

10615 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70809 or to Mary Byrd Perkins Cancer 
Center, 4950 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. 

Rest Haven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge is in charge of arrangements.
