Michael Joseph Chiasson, 64, long time member of the North Congregation of 
Jehovah's Witnesses and Resident of Thibodaux, LA died Thursday morning, March 
6, 2014.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 
Nicholls State University, Donald G. Bollinger Student Union, Cotillion Room 
entrance located on NSU Leighton Drive, Thibodaux, LA. The memorial discourse 
will be given by Brother Gregory Brupbacher.

Michael "Mike" Joseph Chiasson was born Wednesday, May 18, 1949 in New Orleans, 
LA. His parents, Aurelien Sydney Chiasson and Ella Malbrough Chiasson, raised 
him in Thibodaux, LA. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marvelene Mary 
Chiasson; son, Brent Chiasson and wife April; daughter, Michelle Rogers and 
husband Victor; daughter, Rebecca Esper and husband Rodney; sons, Nathan and 
Jeffrey Chiasson; his grandchildren, Linsey Rogers, Jenna Rogers, Victoria 
Rogers and Emily Esper. He is also survived by his brothers Floyd, Norris, 
Lloyd, Richard and James Chiasson and sisters Betty Thibodaux, Mona Sacco, 
Agnes Gauthier and Angela George. 

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Aurelien, his mother, Ella, his 
loving step-mother, Mildred, his older sister, Doris Sacco and his nephews, 
Ryan and Kenny Chiasson.

Mike was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by 
family and friends.

Mike was employed by Wetland Equipment on Canal Boulevard in Thibodaux, working 
closely with Danny Morvant for 25 years. Mike's expertise was selling and 
purchasing parts for marsh buggies and amphibious equipment.
