Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at University Baptist Church in Thibodaux. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with a private burial. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Margie Niemeyer Clement; daughters, Amanda Clement Guidry, Donna Clement, and Dayna Clement Brown; grandchildren, Kolby and Luke Guidry, and Carly and Jeremy Brown; siblings, Larry (Myra) Clement, Gene Clement, and Loretta Clement (John) Niemietz; mother-in-law, Mary Lou McNeal; sister-in-law, Rose (Leon) Ruth; brother-in-law, Steve (Sherri) Niemeyer; and forever faithful yellow lab, Missy. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Timothy. Laury was born Feb. 23, 1938 to Celia Keller Clement and Guy S. Clement, of Thibodaux. He graduated from Thibodaux High School where he played varsity football and was a member of the FFA. He served and worked for the Louisiana Army National Guard for more than 20 years. He proudly worked in the sugar cane and cattle industry for more than 30 years as an overseer with J. B. Levert Land Company and as manager of Zero Brahman Ranch. He was past president of the Louisiana Brahman Association and the Lafourche Cattlemen's Association. Thanks to his family and loved ones for the comfort and care extended to him during his illness.
