He was a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA and resident of Montegut, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Friday, March 7, 2014 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Eloi Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Eloi Catholic Church. Burial: St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery He is survived by his loving wife, Mary "Katie" Duthu DeHart, Montegut, LA, sons, Wesley DeHart and wife Brenda, Illinois, Mitchell DeHart and fiance' Kacie Porche, Montegut, LA, daughters, Annette Alleman and husband Gary, Theriot, LA, Georgana Berger and husband Severn, Houma, LA, Robbi Michel and husband Warren, Galliano, LA, Kayla Frickey and husband Brad, Houma, LA, grandchildren, Rebecca, Dylan, Wesley, Brooks, Nicholas, Jordy, Aisha, Justin, Ben, Kameron, Tanner, Logan and Lucy Mae, three great grandchildren, Breanna, Jameson, Brooklyn, Kanin, Keyliah, brothers, Wilfred "Possum" DeHart, Raceland, LA, Floyd DeHart, Houma, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam DeHart and Ida Jane Gray DeHart, son, Shawn DeHart, first wife, Ethel Liner DeHart, sisters, Nora Lovell and Estelle Voisin, brothers, Herbert, Houston, Cyrus, Edmund, Eugis, Charles, Thomas, Easton, Willard DeHart. He was a self employed contract welder and Barge Maintenance Contractor. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #8616. He enjoyed gardening, raising animals, fishing and rabbit hunting. He will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of CIS and the nurses and staff of Terrebonne General Medical Center as well as Dr. Cinnater and his staff.
