She was born in Gowen Oklahoma and lived in Houma Louisiana most of her adult life. A church service of Christian faith will be held to celebrate the life of Lora Bennett Deligans at Mulberry Baptist Church with service time at 11:00am, Friday March 14, 2014. A private burial will be held at a later date in Terrebonne Memorial Park in Houma LA. She is survived by her, Sons: Billy R. Deligans Jr. and wife Pennie, Timothy Deligans, Daughter: Paula Duplantis and husband Eric, Grandchildren: Ravyn, Gabrielle, and Timothy Deligans, Rachael Haddad, Keith and Jeffrey Duplantis, Erin Stroud, She is also survived by eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her, Spouse: Billy Deligans, Parents: Emmett and Alta McAtee Bennett, Son: Keith Bennett Deligans, Granddaughter: Willow Elizabeth Deligans, Brother: Infant brother William Bennett, Sisters: Osa Hunt, Marie Morris, Mildred Dunn, and baby Bennett. She was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church. Lora Deligans was a charter member of Mulberry Baptist Church and served as a bible study teacher for over seventy years. She also served as church treasurer for Mulberry Baptist for many years. Her church, family and friends were her greatest joy in life. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the Bell Tower Fund at Mulberry Baptist Church on 2025 Bayou Black Dr, Houma, LA ======================
