Dupr Sr., went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday, March 24, 2014. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ben Hackler officiating, and burial in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Kevin Holmes, Jesse Scott, Paul Clark, David Speir, Ronnie Nolan, and Henry White. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Landrum Dupr; children, Ernest Paul Dupr Jr. and wife, Angela, and Christopher Dupr; stepchildren, Cliff Loyd and wife, Pat, Kenny Loyd and wife, Lolo, Cindy Linzay and husband, Wayne, and John Landrum Jr. and wife, Becky; grandchildren, Brianna, Cassidy, and Brandon Dupr, Kira and Jonathan Rippetoe, Joseph and Christopher Dupr Jr., Jonathan Mayeux, Justin, Clint, Matthew, and Meghan Loyd, Kacie Linzay, Colby, Dylan, Joseph, and Bailey Landrum, Chris and Mitchell Clark, and Alicia Mayeux; three great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Ford; and brothers, A.J. Dupr and Eldrick Dupr and wife, Helen. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Rippetoe; and wife, Nellie Loyd Dupr. Ernest was a retired welder and pipefitter. He was a member of Swartz First Baptist Church and a member of the Carolyn Clark Sunday School Class. Ernest was a devoted husband to his wife and loved his family. He loved talking to people and never met a stranger. He was known to all his friends for boiling "The best crawfish they ever had." In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Swartz First Baptist Church Building Fund. Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe is in charge of arrangements. ======================
