Guidroz, 91, a native of Larose and resident of Golden Meadow, died at 4:52 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Golden Meadow. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Georgette Guidry Guidroz; daughter, Geraldine "Gerry" G. Naquin Cedotal and husband, Randy Cedotal; grandchild, Todd Naquin and wife, Lori Duet Naquin; great-grandchildren, Marcelle, Madeline and Meredith Naquin; brother-in-law, Melvin Guidry; and sister, Lillia Wise. He was preceded in death by his parents, Firman and Bernadette Arcement Guidroz; son, Gary Paul Guidroz; brothers, Louis, Clovis and Edward Guidroz; and sisters, Amelia Richoux, Amie Guidroz, Melvina Daniels, Mathilde Gray, Clotilde Terrebonne, Claudia Danos, and Leona Allemand. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 259, Knights of Columbus Council 9000, and the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and sharing his harvest with his family and friends. He retired from Texaco after 32 years of service. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements. U.S. Coast Guard veteran ======================
