Doris B. Labit, 78, a native and resident of Houma, died Sunday, March 2, 2014.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bayou Blue Assembly of God 
Church.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Thompson and wife, Carolyn; daughters, Bonnie 
Shuff, Vickie Richard, Donna Boudreaux, and Tommie Gautreaux and husband, 
Timothy; brother, Ray Bland; sister, Faye Richard; nine grandchildren; 13 
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruffin Joseph Labit; parents, Henry 
Bland and Gordie Lee Perkins Bland; and son-in-law, John Shuff.
