Lorena "Pookie" Rousse Ledet, 78, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 
11:16 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon 
Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery in Cut Off. 

She is survived by her sons, Stony P. (Rosanne Savoie) Ledet and Roddy G. 
(Sandra Loupe) Ledet; daughters, Margo "Maggie" (Michael) Ledet Oholendt and 
Lorie M. (James) Ledet Pierce; brothers, Chester "Bozo", Mike, Rodney, Stanley, 
and Ozema Rousse; sisters, Octavia "Tavie" R. Lasseigne and Juanita Guidry; 10 
grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy J. Ledet; parents, Web J. 
Rousse and Aza Bruce Rousse; daughter, Trudy Anne Ledet Loupe; and brothers, 
Ejay and Leroy "Yank" Rousse. 

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
