Moore, 95, a native of Elba, Ala., and resident of Thibodaux, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray. He is survived by his sons, Speedy and Randy Moore; daughter, Wanda Moore LeBlanc; sisters, Lucille Holly and Bonnie Oliver; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Poole Moore; parents, Milton and Nina Bray Moore; brothers, Fontell, Ray, Roy, James, George and M.J.; sister, Winnie Dell Britton; and grandson, Jonathan Patrick LeBlanc. He was a veteran of World War II and served his country twice. He served from June 15, 1938 to June 17, 1941, in the U.S. Army and from February 5, 1942 to May 17, 1945. He participated in the Philliphine Liberation and the Asiatic Pacific Theater and was awarded three bronze stars. He retired from McDermott after 30 years of service as a dredge captain. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a lifetime member. Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. U.S. Army ======================
