George Anthony Picone, 76, a native of Houma, and resident of Thibodaux, died 
at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time 
Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. 
Saturday at the funeral home, 

with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Earline Courmier Picone; son, George 
Joseph Picone; daughter, Michelle Picone Martinez and husband, Timmy; 
grandchildren, Brittani Babin Lirette and husband, Matt, and Timothy "T.J." 
Martinez Jr.; and aunts, Veronica Picone Fonseca and Althea Fonseca Picone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan Vincent and Lillian Hebert 
Picone.

George was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Thibodaux. 
He obtained a degree in music and was an accomplished saxophone player who also 
taught music. He played in many bands including community bands in Houma and 
Thibodaux. He was also in the Marine Corps Reserve. 
He was an avid Saints and LSU fan.

Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
