Rodney J. Rodrigue Sr., 83, a native and resident of Chackbay, LA passed away 
on Thursday, March 13, 2014.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor (Chackbay, LA) from 8:00 AM till funeral time. A Mass of Christian 
Burial will take place at 10:30 AM at the church. 

Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lorita Percle Rodrigue; daughters, 
Susan(Eddie) Martinez, Janet(Karl) Loupe, Kathy (Paul III) LaGraize, Laura 
(David) Verdun, Rhonda (Dedric) Rodrigue, and Rita (William) Carrier; sisters, 
Lois Stoltz and Dianna (Jerry) Dempster; grandchildren, Elijah Rodrigue, Rowdy 
Martinez, Marsha Champagne, Lindsey, Hailey, and Eric Verdun, Andrew and Katie 
Rodrigue, Jared and Karla Loupe, Paul IV, Derek and Drew LaGraize, and Jake 
Carrier; and 8 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his sons, Dale and Rodney Rodrigue Jr.; parents, 
Ozeme "O.P" Rodrigue Sr. and Louise Constant Rodrigue; sister, Adriel Blanco; 
brother, Ozeme "O.P." Rodrigue Jr.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He worked in 
the oilfield industry and also as a welder. He enjoyed gardening and sharing 
his harvest with his family and friends. 

He was a devoted husband and father who will be dearly missed by all who knew 
and loved him.
