Marion Smith, 72, a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Thibodaux, 
died Monday, March 24, 2014 at 4:45 a.m.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time 
at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Methodist Church. 

Burial will follow in Blue Lily Cemetery.

She is survived by: three daughters, Dwana Smith, Cherita (Ulysses) Lagarde, 
and Dionne Harris; four brothers, Phillip (Brenda), Charles, Harvey (Lois) and 
McKinley Harris; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Alvernon Smith; a daughter, DeJean 
Harris; her parents, Aaron and Eartha Joseph-Harris; and two brothers, Welmon 
and Lloyd Harris.

Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
