She was a native of Pasadena, TX and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 2:00 PM until service time at First United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church. Burial: Terrebonne Memorial Park. She is survived by her, daughters, Marcy Spangle and Pamela Spangle Capell and husband William C. Capell, grandchildren, Jennifer Beeson, Julie Trotter, Robert "Jay" Prejeant, John Prejeant, Laura Capell, Kathryn Capell and Claire Capell, and great grandchildren, Caroline Bascle, Emma Beeson, Kate Beeson, Madeline Trotter and Grace Capell, sisters, Ida Muskiet. She was preceded in death by her, husband, Frank Jerome Spangle, Jr., parents, Charles W. Vickers and Ruth Waggoner Vickers, son, Frank Jerome Spangle, III, brothers, Harold Vickers, Jack Vickers,and sisters, Eloise Greensage. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She has been a member of First United Methodist Church of Houma since she and her husband moved to Houma in 1967. She was also a member of the Newcomers Bridge Group for 47 years. Doris' life was a testament to the love and devotion she gave her husband, daughters and grandchildren. Football season was always eagerly anticipated because of her love for LSU. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Houma. ======================
