Rex Ann Ward, born June 25, 1957, a resident of Assumption Parish and native of 
Longview, Texas, was called home to our Lord Sunday, March 23, 2014. 

Memorial visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at First 
Baptist Church in Napoleonville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday 
at the church, with Brother Chuck Chaisson officiating. 

She is survived by her mother, Lee Ann O'Quinn Thornton; sister, Vikki Ward 
Taft and husband, Justin, of Springfield, Ill.; stepbrother, V. Ray Thornton 
III and wife, Connie, of Napoleonville; numerous nieces and nephews; and her 
pal, "Acie". 

She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Ward; stepfather, V. Ray Thornton 
Jr.; niece, Misty Lee Boudreaux; stepsister, Virginia A. Thornton; 
grandparents; and two uncles. 

Rex, as she was affectionately known, was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt; 
a friend to all who were privileged to have known her. She will be truly missed 
by all. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to: Canon 
Hospice of Baton Rouge, 1761 Physicians Park Drive, Suite B, Baton Rouge, LA 
70816. 

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
