EVERN "POPPA" WHITTINGTON, SR., a retired Shipyard worker died March 24, 2014 
at his residence in St. James, LA. 
He was 81 and a native of St. James, LA. 

Visiting at St. James Catholic Catholic Church, Hwy. 18, St. James, LA from 
9:00am to Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am Saturday, March 29, 2014 
conducted by Rev. Chris Decker. 

Cremation to follow. 

Survived by his wife, Delores Whittington; 4 sons, Evern, Jr., Edwin, Troy and 
Gregory Whittington; 4 daughters, Nannette Williams, Rena Cutno, Ronnie Charles 
and LaDawn Archangel; Also survived by 1 brother, 6 sisters, 22 grandchildren, 
18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and 
friends. 

Preceded in death by parents, Florence and Felix Whittington, Sr.; 5 brothers 
and 6 sisters.
