She was a native of Franklin, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 10:00 AM until Service time at Ibert's Mortuary 1007 West Main St. Franklin, LA 70538. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Church of the Assumption 211 Iberia St. Franklin, LA 70538. Interment: Franklin Cemetery. She is survived by her, Husband of 25 years, Blake Aucoin, Son, Andrew John Aucoin, Daughter, Alexis Elise Aucoin, Parents, John Lewis Markerson Jr and Joanne Martin Markerson, Brothers, Chris M Markerson, Sr and wife Rachelle Brad M. Markerson and wife Rachel, nieces and nephews, Joni M. Thomas, Caroline Markerson, Chris M. Markerson, Jr, Matthew J. Markerson, Meagan E. Markerson, Hunter M. Markerson and Lanie E. Markerson. She was preceded in death by her, Paternal Grandparents, John L. Markerson, Sr and Charlie Mae Markerson, Maternal Grandparents, Medric Martin and Mildred Martin Brother, John L. Markerson, III, Father in law, Andy A. Aucoin, Jr She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. The family wishes to thank Dr. Jon Olson, Dr. Russell Henry, Mary Byrd Perkins Cancer Center and Haydel Memorial Hospice.
