Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1404.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Wesley "Marie" Barnes, 75, a native of Early Branch, S.C., and resident of Houma, died Sunday, April 6, 2014. Visitation will from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in Holy Family Cemetery in Dulac. He is survived by his daughter, Rosella B. Robles Flores; brothers, Alfred, Bernard, Tanzle Jr., and Louis J. "Curly" Barnes; sisters, Sheryl DeLoach, Rosemary Sullivan, Adell Gray, and Karon Barnes; grandchildren, Andrea Marie "Tot" Barnes and Liza Billiot "Sista" Parfait; and great-grandchild, Elijah Kohl "Badboy" Parfait. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable S. Barnes; parents, Tanzle and Carrie Barnes; brothers, Marvin, Norman, and Kelly Barnes; and sister, Carrie Ann Isner. Wesley was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed cutting grass, going to work with his dog Bobo, cleaning fish, riding around the bayou, fishing, and picking pecans. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Dickie Haydel, Dr. Scott Haydel, Chad Haydel, Bayou Home Care and Haydel Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samart Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. ======================
