Russell Joseph Brunet, Jr., 63 a native of Houma, LA. and a resident of 
Vacherie, LA. passed away April 5, 2014.

A Memorial Service will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 
2014 at Bayou Barriere Golf Club in Belle Chasse.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Brunet; son James Brunet and wife Heather; 
daughter, Bridget Martinez and husband, Kenny; mother, Bertie Cortez Brunet; 
brother, Kenneth Brunet; sister, Yvette Bobb. He is also survived by six 
grandchildren, Jade Brunet, Brooke Martinez, Alexis Brunet, Kolston Martinez, 
Hadley Brunet and Jaxson Brunet; and past daughter-in-laws, JaneeÕ and Vanessa 
Brunet.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Joseph Brunet, Sr.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.  He served as a Jefferson Parish police 
officer for 27years and was an avid Harley Davidson rider.  He was a devoted 
husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
