She was a native of Websterville, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Monday, April 28, 2014 from 8:00 AM until Service time at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home. Interment: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Russell J Derouen, Brother, Fernand Verret of Patoutville, LA Sister, Mary Ellen Verret Prudhomme of Charenton, LA and her children Ellen Lirette and husband Albert of Houma, LA, Penelopy Kimball and husband Steven of Houma, LA, Jane West of Gulfport, MS, Chris Derouen and wife Myra of Houma, LA, Linda Derouen and John Files of Orlando, FL, She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Russell J. Derouen, Jr; Parents, Fernest Verret and Edna E. Verret, Brothers, Walter S. Verret, Earl W. Verret, Wilson J. Verret, Howard A. Verret, Sr and Ulyless Verret Granddaughter, Dana Kimball. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. The family wishes to thank Hospice of South Louisiana and Joella for the wonderful care they provided.
