Joseph R. Durocher, 66, a native of Choupic, LA and resident of Gray, LA passed 
away on April 14, 2014.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Thibodaux Funeral Home from 
5:00 PM till funeral time. A religious service will take place at 6:00 PM at 
the funeral home. 

Interment will take place at a later date.

He is survived by his brothers, William W. Durocher Jr. and wife Pat, Bradford 
J. Durocher and wife Theresa; sisters, Elvie Duplantis and husband Mark; Ora 
Dempster and husband Dale; 7 nephews, 1 Niece, 9 great nephews and 4 great 
nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William W. Durocher Sr. and Ruth 
Melancon Gros; grandparents, Leonard "Banana" Melancon Sr. and Marie Faucheaux 
Melancon; uncles, L.J. Melancon Jr. and Leander Melancon.

He retired from Winn Dixie and Rouse's and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the 
Vietnam Era. He enjoyed watching Saints football and L.S.U. football and 
baseball.

Thibodaux Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
