Odessa Bourg Foret, 79, a native and a resident of Houma, died Tuesday, April 
8, 2014.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. 
Bernadette Church in Houma.
Religious Services will be Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00am at St. 
Bernadette Church in Houma.

Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 at a later date.

She is survived by: 2 Sons- Danny Foret and wife Terry and Rickey Foret; 2 
Daughters- Susan F. Duplantis and husband Dwayne and Cindy Foret; 1 Brother- 
Mitchel Bourg; 1 Sister- Elizabeth "Liz" Vial; 9 Grandchildren- Heath and Beau 
Duplantis, Dexter Broussard, Jennifer Stephens, Jake Foret, Christopher and 
Megan Steele, Paul and Brooke Foret; 7 Great Grandchildren- Andrea, Kage, 
Tripp, Chloe, Kullen, Reese, and Lane

She was preceded in death by: Husband- Warren Joseph Foret; Parents- Louis and 
Margaret "Maggie" Boudreaux Bourg; 3 Brothers- Taylor, Andy, and Harrison 
Bourg; 5 Sisters- Evelyn Grabert, Virgie Rogers, Betty Jean Sorola, Mary Ann 
Duplantis, and Catherine Roger

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a dear 
friend to many. 

Odessa has been in the floral profession since the age of 14 and was the Owner 
and Operator of Bayou Florist for the past 38 years. 

She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
