Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1404.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Nora Trosclair Gautreaux, 83, a native of Lockport and resident of Thibodaux, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 6, 2014. A memorial service will be held at a later date. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Nolan J. Gautreaux; children, Ted Gautreaux and wife, Angela, of Gheens, Jennifer Gautreaux Williams and husband, Wade, of Johns Creek, Ga., Gerard Gautreaux and wife, Sharon, of Allen, Texas, Anna Gautreaux Dufrene and husband, Dwight, of Mathews; Phyllis Gautreaux Eddy and husband, Samuel, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and Pamela Gautreaux, of Mandeville; sisters, JoAnn Belanger, Gloria Guidry, and Sister Mary Elizabeth Guidry; and brothers, A.J. and Perry Guidry. Nora was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Della Guidry; sons, Michael Joseph and Timothy John Gautreaux; grandchildren, Marlene and Ted Gautreaux Jr.; and sisters, Joyce Oney, Nelwood Adams, and Betty Foret. Nora was a faithful Christian and was dedicated to serving her church and community. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and while living in Lockport was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church. She was always looking for ways to serve others. She owned and operated Nora's Beauty Salon for many years. She graduated high school in 1994, obtaining her GED. She went back to school to get her certification to teach in the Head Start Program. She always chose to dance and did she love to dance! She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Her passion and legacy will live on in everyone who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nora's daughter, Jennifer Gautreaux Williams to assist with nursing care costs not covered by insurance for Jennifer's husband, who is battling brain cancer. ======================
