She was a native of Gibson, La and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 8:00AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10:00AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 She is survived by her sons, Ray Guidry and wife Cindy, Samson Guidry Jr. and wife Tammy, Craig Guidry and wife Vickie; daughter, Janet Alston and husband John; grandchildren, Kimberly Boudreaux, Lynsie Boudreaux, Marc Alston, Dennis Guidry, Jenna Tabrizi, Rebecca Guidry, Kaine Guidry, Tabitha Guidry, Sarah Guidry, Jake Guidry, Matthew Guidry, Brittany Guidry; great grandchildren, Jennifer Boudreaux, Tiffany Boudreaux, Addison Boudreaux, Lily Boudreaux, Reece Foret, Conner Guidry, Madison Guidry, Blaine G. Skinner, Landen G. Turner, and Cole Guidry; and brothers, Earl Louviere, and Nolan Louviere; sister, Yvonne Giroir. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sampson Guidry Sr.; parents, William and Leontine Louviere; grandchild, Corey Guidry; brothers, Herbert Louviere, and Normal Louviere; and sisters, Lydia Cortez, Ethel LeMaster, Bertha Cunningham. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Bernice was passionate about gardening and fishing. She was a fun loving person who will be missed by all her loved ones. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and Southern Care Hospice for the loving care shown to Bernice and the family.
