Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1404.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Charles ÒChuckÓ Gerard Leonard, born July 2, 1950 a native of Marrero, La. and longtime resident of Labadieville and recently of Thibodaux, LA., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 27, 2014 from complications of a long term illness. Visitation will be on Thursday May 1, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas from 9:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, La. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Susanne Hebert Leonard; sister, Jane Leonard Benoit married to J. Keith Benoit of Lafayette; sisters-in-law, Cathy B. Hebert, Beryl H. Lapeyrouse, Lillian Hebert Nelton; brother-in-law, Karl ÒPee WeeÓ Hebert Jr.; mother-in-law, Sybil Richard Hebert; uncle, Ike Dugas of Baton Rouge; nephews and nieces, Sam Naff and wife Theresa, Ben Naff and wife Emily and Rachel Naff Looney all from Nashville, TN, Beryl Lynn Bush and husband Tony of Kingwood, TX, Lara Bernard and husband Ben, Paul Andrew Lapeyrouse, Heidi Blanchard and husband Shane; great nephews and nieces, Matthew, Sarah, Gabrielle and Alex Naff, Jackson and Thatcher Looney, Sean and Aaron Bush, Dylan Howell, Alex Lapeyrouse, Logan Bernard and Kaston Blanchard, Haley and Hunter Broussard, Kendal, Lauren and Blake Taylor as well as a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy Gerard Leonard and Bessie Dugas Leonard; father-in-law, Karl ÒPee WeeÓ Hebert, Sr.; niece, Kasi Nelton and nephew, Kenneth Benoit. He loved his career as Art Teacher and adored his students as well they did him. He enjoyed reading, his garden, his artwork and his family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Association of Thibodaux or The American Heart Association of Thibodaux.
