Morris Lewis Jr., 58, a native and resident of Jeanerette, died at 1:40 A.M. 
Tuesday, April 1, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Jeanerette 
and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Jude Spiritual Church in 
Jeanerette. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 

with burial in St. Jude Cemetery in Jeanerette. 

He is survived by his wife, Glenda C. Lewis; daughters, LaKeisha M. Lewis, 
LaTanya R. (Clarence) Lewis Lazaro, Simone M. (De'Marcus) Lewis Green, 
Gwendolyn F. Lewis, and Kiera B. Lewis; sons, Morris (Kris) Lewis I, Norris 
(fiancˇe, Gretchen Colar) Lewis, and Blair Lewis; father, Morris Lewis Sr.; 
sisters, Gloria L. (Eugene) Walters, Bishop Diane L. (Felton Sr.) Colar, 
Barbara L. (Charles Sr.) Toussaint, Doris L. (the Rev. Arnold Ray) Joseph, 
Mercedes L. (Ivory Sr.) Francois, Jeanette L. (Dallas Sr.) Walters, and the 
Rev. Monette L. (Buffus Sr.) Bolden; and 17 grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Archbishop Julia Lewis; and 
grandparents, Daniel and Viola Williams. 

Jones Funeral Home in Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
