Gertie Ledet Pierce, 80, a native of Larose and resident of Cut Off passed away 
on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.

Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday from 10:00 
a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 
a.m. 

with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Tilman Pierce; son, Brian Pierce 
and wife Becky; daughters, Terra Lee and husband Cono, Melanie Andras and 
husband Jeff, Jana Lombas and husband Dominick; brother, Jimmy Ledet; sister, 
Nancy Plaisance; grandchildren, T-Con Lee, Tracy Lee, Crystal Lee, Chantece 
Guilbeau, Brittany Orgeron, Ashley Danos, Janee Lombas, Nikale Lombas; great 
grandchildren, Jennifer Sanders, Drake Lee, Elizabeth Lee, Chase Lee, Emilie 
Lee, Renee Lee, Cameron Lee, Gavin Lee, Caroline Guilbeau, Cyrus Guilbeau, 
Kenzie Oregeron, Rustyn Duet.

She was preceded in death by her father, Forest Ledet; mother, Etonia Byrne 
Ledet; brother, Norris Ledet.

Gertie was an amazing person, always a smile on her face. She had a golden 
heart. She was an unselfish, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. 
Her love of God, family and friends will live on in our hearts forever. 
She will be dearly missed.
