Martha Baudouin Raines, 52, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Broussard, 
died at 7:43 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at her residence. 

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. 
and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at David Funeral Home in Lafayette. A 
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church with the Rev. Louis Richard officiating. 

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fillmore Cemetery in Haughton with the 
Rev. Bill Crosby officiating. 

Serving as pallbearers will be members of her friends and family. 

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Gordon J. Raines, of Broussard; 
son, Will Raines, of Broussard; daughter, Jennifer Raines, of Broussard; 
mother, Blanche Lasseigne Baudouin, of Thibodaux; brother, Lowell Baudouin II, 
of Tempe, Ariz.; sister, Eleanor Baudouin, of Niceville, Fla.; and numerous 
nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell Baudouin I. 

Martha was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the 
Louisiana State Nurses Association. She was known as a dedicated nurse who had 
a passion for helping others regardless of the time it required. 
She retired after more than 30 years in nursing and spent the last 15 years as 
a case manager. 
She also enjoyed gardening, fishing and swimming.
