Ecton ""Hec"" Joseph Theriot Sr., 87, a native of Lockport and resident of 
Houma, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Holy Savior 
Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. 
Tuesday at the church, 

with burial in Holy Savior Catholic Church cemetery in Lockport. 

He is survived by his wife, Nobby Matherne Theriot; son, Ecton Theriot Jr. and 
wife, Sheryl Garvey; daughters, Elainna Whitlock and husband, Jesse, and Jaynel 
Pierce and companion, Ruben Gaudet; sister, Delsie Pertuit; six grandchildren; 
and five great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine K. Theriot; parents, Acy and 
Elena Theriot; brother, Wilton Theriot; and sister, Elsie Theriot. 

Ecton was a police chief in Lockport and PFC in the U.S. Army. 
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
