Gracie Lee Long Vargas, age 78, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 17, 
2014. A native of Winnfield and a resident of Harvey and Thibodaux. She was a 
teacher for 21 years at St. Rosalie Catholic School in Harvey, LA.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 8:30 am until 10:15 am 
at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 
at 10:30 am 

with burial to follow at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, David Vargas and daughter, Cindy 
Vargas Richard (husband Kenneth Richard, Sr.). Grandchildren; Rena Ledet and 
Kenny Richard, Jr. and great-grandchildren; Andre' and Stevie Ledet. Sisters; 
Earline Long Boyett and Virginia Long Rolen. Brother, Earl Emery Long, Jr. Two 
nieces and seven nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Earl Emery Long, Sr. and Edrye Simms.
