Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday, April 10, 2014 and from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Gheens, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Anthony Catholic Church cemetery, Gheens. He is survived by his wife, Faith B. Varnes; sons, Jimmy Adam Varnes and wife Tiffany P. Varnes, Jacob Ellis Varnes and wife Monique G. Varnes, Jared Michael Varnes; daughter; Cassie Varnes Coleman and husband Daniel Coleman; grandchildren, Landon Conner Varnes, Diontrez Joseph Blanchard Varnes, Kelsie Lynn Varnes, Alanah Marie Varnes, Colby Evan Coleman, Gemma Renee' Varnes, Wyatt Trace Coleman; brother, Albert Darrell Varnes; half sister, Kimberly Mills Bergeron and step sister, Tonya Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents, Issac Arlington Varnes and Virginia D. Varnes; step mother and father, Laverne and Jerry Cauldwell; brothers, Michael Lee Shellman, Alton Varnes, and Lorenzo Varnes.
