He was a native of Naples, TX and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be on Thursday May 1, 2014 from 9:00am to service time at St Francis De Sales Cathedral in Houma, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday May 1, 2014 at 11:00am at St Francis De Sales Cathedral in Houma, LA with burial at St Josephs Co-Cathedral Cemetery in Thibodeaux, LA. He is survived by his Five Children: Sue Ganier and husband Gary, James "Sandy" Womack, Jr. and wife Donna, Martha Culotta and husband Phil, Mark Womack and wife Debbie, and Douglas Womack. Grandchildren: He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Matthew Ganier and wife Jill, Benjamin Ganier, Samuel Ganier and fiance' Jaime, Robin Dollarhide and husband John, Joshua Womack, Krissen Womack, Michael Womack and wife Kathryn and Christopher Womack, and two great grandchildren, Sadie and Layne Ganier. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Lambert and husband Conrad, and one brother-in-law, Howard Groves and sisters- in-law, Jerry Braud, and Deanna Kittle. He was preceded in death by his Spouse: Noelie Mire Womack Parents: Andrew Womack and Effie Collins Womack, brothers and sisters, Kathryne Bourquin, Edward Womack, Bettye Groves, and Billy Joe Womack. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Jim retired from Freeport Sulphur Company. He served in the Navy during WWII and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. His hobbies included playing bridge, hunting and traveling. He had an unwavering love for family and his love for Christ was evident in his service to all. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Jim's caregivers, Kathy Warren and Earline Lewis, as well as to his many friends.
