Harold Lynn Burton, 85, a native of Elm Grove and resident of Houma, died 
Friday, May 23, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. 

A graveside service and burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Garden of 
Memories Cemetery in Gray. 

He is survived by his daughter, Karen Nichols; son, David Lynn Burton; brother, 
Kenneth Burton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Poindexter Burton; father, Glenn 
Burton; and mother, Clarise Golden Sharp. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
