Mary-Jane Chauvin, 79, a native and resident of Raceland, died Sunday, May 25, 
2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Hilary 
Catholic Church in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. 
Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. 

She is survived by her children, Joanne Tastet, Lucy Chiasson, Molly Boudreaux, 
and Raphael Chauvin Jr.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 
brother, James Fanguy Jr.; twin sister, Genevieve Cologne; and sister, Martha 
Hebert. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Raphael "Ralph" Chauvin 
Sr.; parents, James Fanguy Sr. and Sadie P. Fanguy; one great-grandchild; and 
sister, Jeanette Cologne. 

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
