Norma Richard Domangue, of Thibodaux, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at 
the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral cemetery in Thibodaux for the immediate 
family members. 

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ray and Mary Domangue, Lee 
and Cathy Domangue, and Larry and Jan Domangue Merington; grandchildren, 
Laurie, Jason, Jared, Brant, Beau, Morgan, and Martine Domangue, and Olivia 
Merington; and great-grandchild, Ellie Rose Domangue. 

She was born in Thibodaux on June 2, 1928, to parents, Philip and Doris 
Richard. She attended Thibodaux High School and later Louisiana State 
University. In 1947, she married Charles Domangue, and together they raised 
three children. Charlie died in 1990 at the age of 63 and Norma never 
remarried. During her life she worked as a hairdresser, serving countless women 
in the Thibodaux area. Norma will always be remembered for her vibrant smile, 
her kind and caring ways and for the way she made others feel. She was a grand 
lady and a loving mother and grandmother. 
Although she is no longer with us, she now resides in paradise with the love of 
her life, Charlie, at peace forever. For this we rejoice. 

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
