Nefta Cheramie Galliano, 90, beloved wife of the late Wylie Peter Galliano for 
71 years, passed away peacefully at her home on May 12, 2014. 
A native of Galliano and resident of Cut Off for the past 52 years. 

She was a devoted mother, grand mother, and great-grandmother. 

Visitation will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off on May 15 
from 10 till service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 12 noon 

with burial following in Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery.

Nefta is survived by four children Diana Galliano Allemand and husband Anthony 
"Lou", Michael Galliano and wife Sylvia, Sylvia Galliano Holmes, Joseph 
Galliano and wife Gail, brother Edwin Cheramie and sister Rose Cheramie St. 
Pierre, grandchildren Tony Navas Jr. and wife Ester, Michael Galliano Jr and 
wife Ophelia, Trave Galliano and wife Chandra, Jade Galliano, Gordon Dufrene 
and late wife Stacy Bruce Dufrene, Tiffany Dufrene Ables and husband Shelby, 
Joseph Galliano Jr and wife Faye, Chad Galliano, Tate Galliano and wife Hope, 
Magen Galliano, 14 great grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Amadee Cheramie and Aliska Chouest 
Cheramie.

Her greatest joy was being devoted to her husband and children. Her enjoyment 
was family trips, especially camping, trawling boat trips with her husband, 
loved yardwork and enjoyed fooling with her flowers.
She was a devoted Catholic involved in the Ladies Auxiliary and Ladies Alter 
Society.
