Shirley Mae Abadie Gaspard, 76, a native of Westwego and resident of Larose 
passed away May 28, 2014. 

Visitation will take place on Saturday May 31, 2014 at Samart-Mothe Funeral 
Homes in Cut Off from 9:00 am till service time. Services will take place in 
the funeral parlor beginning at 10:30 am 

with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Dolton Joseph Gaspard Jr. 2 
daughters Marilyn Gaspard and Mardene Blanchard (Paul), 4 sons Michael Gaspard 
Sr. (Lauren), Murry Gaspard (Audrey), Murvin Gaspard (Serena) and Marty Gaspard 
(Christy), 20 grand-children Tori Gaspard, Gina Gaspard, Mikie Gaspard Jr., 
Janie Gaspard, Kyle Gaspard, Dane Plaisance, Dena Plaisance, Danielle 
Plaisance, Tyler Blanchard, Jairus Blanchard, Murry Gaspard Jr., Gage Gaspard, 
Evin Gaspard, Sage Gaspard, Joshua O'Bryan, JŽan Gaspard, JacquŽ Gaspard, 
AngellŽ Gaspard, Trevor Manuel, Ashton Manuel, 16 great grand-children, Jaci 
Gaspard, Jadi Gaspard, Lupita Dominguez, Jali Gaspard, Macon Harris, Hewitt 
Harris, Michael "MJ" Gaspard III, Talen Duet, Blake Adams, Cade Plaisance, 
Carroline Plaisance, Aleah Plaisance, Kayden Gaspard, Logan Gaspard, Serenity 
O'Bryan, Kamie O'Bryan, brother Earl Abadie, 2 sisters Ruby Spurr and Louise 
Dufrene.

She was preceded in death by her parents Isebelle "Bell" Ohmer Abadie and Allen 
"Nat" Abadie Sr., brother Evert "Jay" Abadie, Allen Adam Abadie Jr., Louis 
Abadie, Forman Abadie, daughter-in-law Jackie A. Gaspard, and grand- daughter 
Sheena O'Bryan.

Mrs. Shirley enjoyed care of and spending time with her husband and family, 
helping others and serving God. She was a seamstress and an excellent cook, 
very creative, intelligent and a lover of music. Everything she touched with 
her hands prospered, she is loved by everyone
